ITINERARY:
Day 1: CUSCO – KM. 82 – HUAYLLABAMBA
At approximately 6:00 am, we pick the hotel to the bus 82 km. After passing the control, we started the walk, along the Urubamba River, up to the important archaeological Group Llactapata, for lunch. The entire walk took us about six hours (a total of 13 kilometers) to reach the first camp Huayllabamba.
Day 2: HUAYLLABAMBA – PACAYMAYU
The biggest challenge: 16 miles uphill to cross two very high steps, including Warmiwañusca, with 4.200 m That is the highest point of the walk, cross it and surprise us gasping with breathtaking panoramic views of two mountains and glaciers, and the semi-tropical valley. The hike includes views of archaeological group Runkurakay and Sayacmarca. we camp in Pacaymayu.
Day 3: PACAYMAYU – WIÑAYWAYNA
This day is more calm, walk only 10 kilometers and most of the route is flat and with many slopes downhill. We note as geography is changing, dry and mountainous, green and semi-tropical (jungle). In the way we visit the archaeological sites of Phuyupatamarca, Intipata1 to finally get to Wiñaywayna where we will set our last camp of the trek.
Day 4: WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHUPICCU – CUSCO
After breakfast, very early, we went to Inti Punku (The Gate of the Sun), the gateway to the ancient Inca city Machupicchu from this point is an unforgettable experience after descending will visit this magical place and we will have a guided tour about 2 hours. In the afternoon take the train back to Cusco and arrive around 20:30 hrs. And then take them to your hotel.
