Day 1: Cusco - Lares - Quishuarani.
Early in the morning. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and we will go through the Sacred Valley with runbo to the city of Calca and then to the town of Lares, the trip is 3 hours. Arriving at the town of Lares we go up to the thermal baths, where we can relax and enjoy these beautiful hot springs in the open air. Lunch is provided here. Our bus waits for us during this time to continue with our trip for around 20 minutes until the beginning of the path known as PASCANA. From here we start the trek towards the Quishaurani. Here we will meet our muleteer and the horses. The walk will take us about 2.5 hours to our camp. In the free time we have we can visit some local people "peasants" and see some weaving techniques. This is a wonderful day full of great landscapes and the opportunity to visit several Andean towns. (Lunch, Dinner).
Day 2: Quishuarani - Court Ground
This morning we left early as this is going to be our longest day on the road. We will hike approx. 7 hours today with a break for lunch at noon. We begin the ascent to the highest point of the walk, the Pachacuteq Pass (4450 m). From this step you will be rewarded with wonderful views over Lake Pachacutec and the snow-capped peaks of Pitusiray, Sawasiray and Chicón. The road continues downhill for about 2.5 hours to the Villa de Cancha Cancha where we have our camp. This day we have the opportunity to see an abundance of wildlife, fauna and flora. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Day 3: Cancha Field - Huaran - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes
After a delicious breakfast we will begin our trek this day is much easier. We are going to walk downhill for approx. 5 hours walk to the town of Huaran. From there we take the local transport to the city of Ollantaytambo - a beautiful well-preserved Andean city. Depending on the train time, you will have time to explore before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Day 4: Machu Picchu - Cusco.
A very early start after breakfast so that we can arrive in time for the sunrise in Machupicchu. We took the first bus at 5:30 a.m. There will be a 2 hour tour with a guide around, visiting the main sites and monuments. After the tour you will have free time to walk and explore on your own. In the afternoon we take the train back to Cusco, where we will wait for you at the poroy station to take you to your hotel.
